Inspired by the timeless elegance of the Camellia, this workshop explores a classic flower long associated with French haute couture.
Working with richly textured double-layer quilted kapok, students will learn the complete process, from hand-dyeing each petal and sculpting the fabric with traditional French heated tools to assembling a beautifully balanced camellia bloom. The substantial texture of the fabric creates graceful volume and refined structure, giving the finished flower a sophisticated couture appearance.
